Connecting with specialised therapy from Dublin

Dublin is a vibrant and fast-paced city, but navigating daily demands alongside personal challenges can leave you feeling drained and disconnected. Finding a therapist who aligns with your specific needs, such as somatic practice or queer-informed care, does not have to be limited by your immediate neighbourhood or commuting distance across the city.

Because I work online across the UK and Ireland, Dublin is fully in reach. Online sessions eliminate the hassle of travelling across Dublin during peak hours, allowing you to create a quiet, comfortable space at home. You can step into your session focused entirely on your well-being and return to your routine immediately afterward.

Somatic and person-centred therapy for adults

I support adults from all walks of life who are looking for a gentle, non-pathologising approach to therapy. My practice blends person-centred therapy with Somatic Experiencing, focusing on the connection between mind and body. Rather than viewing your symptoms as something to be fixed, we explore how your nervous system holds stress, using online somatic therapy in the UK principles to foster greater body awareness and ease.

I also offer extensive experience in LGBTQ+ affirming therapy. As a gay man, my work is grounded in lived experience as well as clinical expertise. Clients appreciate having a safe space where they do not need to explain queer culture, coming out, or systemic shame, allowing us to focus deeply on your personal growth and emotional well-being.

Addressing anxiety, stress and relationship patterns

Many people living in Dublin get in touch when they feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, burnout, or emotional overwhelm. You might notice physical signs like persistent tightness in your chest or an inability to truly relax. Somatic work offers a gentle way to explore these physical stress signals, supporting a gradual movement towards greater internal ease.

Other clients seek support for self-esteem issues, identity exploration, or relationship struggles. While I do not offer couples therapy, I regularly help individuals explore their relationship patterns, boundary setting, and family dynamics. Together, we work at a steady pace that respects your boundaries, helping you build self-trust and self-acceptance without judgment or pressure.

By paying attention to both somatic responses and relational patterns, therapy can help you clarify what you need in your daily connections. We take time to notice how old survival habits show up in present relationships, giving you space to explore new ways of setting boundaries at a pace that feels manageable.

Questions about online therapy in Dublin

Can I access online therapy with Peter while living in Ireland?

Yes. I work online with clients across both Ireland and the UK. All sessions are held over a secure video link, making therapy accessible from anywhere in Dublin without travel.

How are payment and currency handled for Irish clients?

The session fee is £90 Sterling per 50-minute session, payable online prior to meeting. If you hold UK-based private health insurance, your policy may cover the cost subject to your provider's terms.

What is the benefit of somatic therapy compared to standard talk therapy?

Somatic therapy brings gentle attention to physical sensations alongside thoughts. This approach can help you notice and work with physical patterns of stress that intellectual discussion alone may not fully address.
